Bluestockings

This download includes V1, which has been playtested & edited for clarity, and V2, which has not & has some mechanics changes. Though I believe V2 enriches play, this is completely untested, and so it is a beta version.

Bluestockings is a tabletop-style, rules-light, no game master roleplaying game for 3-5 people. It’s designed for fluid remote play and works with video or voice-only chat. 1.5-2.5 hours per session, Bluestockings can be played as a recurring weekly game or as a one-shot. It's a game about community collaboration in tumultuous times–and an opportunity for humor and play in that space.

1795, salon-era France. The Reign of Terror is over, and Napoleon has not yet risen.

After the turmoil, we decided it was our turn to start putting things to rights. So, we, a group of salonniéres, intellectuals, and social activists have built a Society dedicated to looking after our community. You may have been invited by a friend or acquaintance, or you might have been asked based on reputation, but we’re all here for a shared purpose: to solve problems for those in our community.
